About Library

• Year of establishment – 1970
• Working Hours: 11.00AM to 05.00 PM on all working days.
• The reading room capacity for 24 students and 2 staff members.
• Library is fully computerised with “E-Granthalaya 3.0 Software”.
• Total area of the library is 1875 sq.ft.; consisting of a reading area, reference section, stacking section, librarian’s sitting area, Issue-Return counter.
• The Library has good collection inclusive of Languages and Literature, Social science, Social Education, Philosophy of Education, Educational Psychology, Educational Research, School Management, Curriculum Education, Teaching Methods & Models, Sports etc.

An online public access catalog (often abbreviated as OPAC or simply library catalog) is an online database of materials held by a library or group of libraries. Users search a library catalog principally to locate books and other material available at a library.

LIBRARY COLLECTION

Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) system is used for books classification. All books are arranged as per call number in stacking section and reference section.

GENERAL LIBRARY RULES

Please maintain silence in the library.
Students are supposed to keep their bags, personal reading material and other belongings outside the library. LIBRARIAN IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LOSS OR DAMAGE OF THE STUDENTS BELONGINGS.
Students will be allowed to use the library during library working hours only.
A non-member can use the library material within the premises of
library.
Reference Books, Newspapers, magazines and journals must be read only in the library and after reading, must be kept back at its place.
No library material can be taken out of the library without permission. Unauthorized removal of anything belonging to the library will be treated as theft and dealt accordingly.
If a Member leaves or migrates the Institution he/she shall have to return all the library material and get Membership to obtain no dues slip from the librarian.
Suggestions on all aspects of library services are welcome.

  • Library member card is must within the premises of library and for library transactions.
  • Books once issued will not be returned in the same day.
  • A book issued can be renewed on or before the due date, “Once” for a period of 07 more days only.
  • If a book is lost, the concerned person has to replace the lost book with a new book, as well as pay the fine.
  • Check the book at the time of issuing. In case of any defect or damage please inform the library staff.

LIBRARY MEMBERSHIP

All faculty, staff and students of the college are entitled to become library
members.
Membership is allowed only after submitting a duly filled in and signed
membership form.

E-RESOURCES RULES

  1. Library member card is compulsory to access computer terminal.
  2. Digital Library is to be used for academic/Research purposes only.
  3. Login I.D.’s, Passwords of various e-resources or online resources will be communicated to the students and faculty members from time to time.
  4. Do not change the settings and display of the Computer kept in the Library.
  5. Please handle computer hardware, software and its accessories carefully.
  6. Browsing of dating, social networking sites, playing games on computer is strictly prohibited.
  7. Accessing Email is strictly prohibited without the permission of librarian
    only.
  8. Members must take care of their Pen drives, CD/DVD ROMs, Cell Phones, and Wallets etc.
  9. Use of secondary storage devices are not allowed without prior permission. Users are required to create a folder on the desktop to store the downloaded documents temporarily and then take help of Library staff to transfer the same to own storage devices.
  10. Do not share Library computer with any other peripheral system or
    computer.
  11. Do not download/install any software from any website.
  12. In case of any computer operational or access problem, report to the
    Librarian.
